Product Description
The Suspension Magnet is constructed with the help of oversized plate magnet. It is designed for suspension above the belt conveyor. If possible, this type of magnet should be installed at the emission of head pulley. The material moves in a zig-zag form from one cartridge tray to other for exceptionally thorough cleaning. In the standard configuration of Suspension Magnet, all the ferrous dust is removed from the cartridges by sliding out the trays and wiping them off.
Features of Suspension Magnet:
- It provide protection of processing equipment like pulverises, conveyors, crushers, belts, screens, etc.
- It purification of product or ingredient for the higher quality end product by removing iron from material in a process like foundry grain, food products, sand, glass cullet, chemicals etc.
- Reclamation of either the ferrous or not ferrous material from open hearth and blast furnace slag, incinerator and garbage plant products etc.
- Recovery of steel from steelworks slag.
- Salvage of important tools, cutter bits & machinery parts.
Additional Information:
Superior Ferrous Contaminant RemovalOur Suspension Magnet excels at removing iron contaminants from bulk materials on conveyor belts and vibratory feeders. With a powerful lifting height and advanced magnet grades, it ensures production lines remain clean, safe, and operational. This prolongs equipment life and optimizes product purity across applications including coal, mining, and aggregate processing.
Designed for Industrial DurabilityFeaturing a robust mild steel casing and a painted, corrosion-resistant surface, this magnet withstands harsh industrial environments. The air-cooled system and low maintenance requirements result in minimal downtime, while its long service life of over a decade offers significant value for manufacturers and exporters.
Flexible Installation and OperationInstallation is streamlined with an overhead mounting design, compatible with conveyor widths ranging from 600mm to 2000mm. Suited for both permanent and electromagnetic variants, the system operates via a straightforward on/off switch, powered at 220V and 1.5kW to handle up to 15 tons per hour, making it highly adaptable for diverse process flows.
FAQs of Suspension Magnet:
Q: How is the Suspension Magnet installed over conveyor systems?
A: The Suspension Magnet is installed directly above conveyor belts or vibratory feeders using an overhead mount, positioned at a lifting height of 100mm to 300mm above the belt for optimal separation of ferrous contaminants.
Q: What materials and process equipment does this magnet protect?
A: It protects conveyors, crushers, and feeders by effectively removing iron particles from coal, stone, aggregate, and other bulk materials, safeguarding both end products and processing machinery from damage and contamination.
Q: When should the magnet be switched on during operation?
A: The magnet should be activated when materials are transported on the conveyor or feeder and deactivated during maintenance or when not in use, using the integrated on/off switch for energy-efficient control.
Q: Where is this Suspension Magnet typically used?
A: It is commonly used in industries such as coal handling, stone crushing plants, mining, and material processing facilities, especially where conveyor belts and vibratory feeders are integral to the operation.
Q: What maintenance is required for the Suspension Magnet?
A: This magnet requires low maintenance due to its corrosion-resistant finish and air-cooled design. Routine inspections to check for physical integrity and functionality are recommended, ensuring continuous service over its 10+ year lifespan.
Q: What are the benefits of using a Suspension Magnet in production lines?
A: By continuously removing ferromagnetic contaminants, the magnet enhances product purity, minimizes equipment wear, reduces downtime, and contributes to a safer, more efficient operation. Its robust design ensures dependable performance in demanding environments.
Q: Can the magnet be customized for different conveyor sizes or capacities?
A: Yes, the Suspension Magnet is available in lengths ranging from 600mm to 2000mm and can be custom built to match unique conveyor widths and specific industry requirements. Magnet grades, power ratings, and operational controls can also be tailored as needed.
